Collettsville, North Carolina, is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It lies along the Wilson Creek valley, about 10 miles northwest of Lenoir and roughly 60 miles east of Asheville. The area is characterized by forested ridges, clear mountain streams, and proximity to Pisgah National Forest and the Wilson Creek National Wild and Scenic River.
